Episode 47: Nuclear Positioning and Model Systems with Dr. Daniel Starr

<p>For episode 47 of 17 Minutes of Science we are joined by Dr Daniel Starr from University of California Davis. Dr. Starr and his colleague Dr. Grant Luxton were recent recipients of the coveted Allen Distinguished Investigator award. They will be studying the LINC complex and how it connects the cell's nucleus to the cytoplasm of the cell. When this connection is broken, many diseases result, ranging from cancer to neurodegenerative disorders.
