Episode 4: Hollywood Myths About the American West

They also cover gunfights, Indians, clothing, and men on horses chasing stage coaches and trains.</p> <p>This show's <strong>lagniappe</strong>:</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Whiskey Punch</strong></p> <p>While at Fort Bridger on the Oregon Trail, trapper James Beckwourth served the Cheyenne chief Mo-he-nes-to (The Elk That Calls) and his wife “whisky punch, well-flavored with spices.”</p> <p>Serves 2</p> <p>Juice of 1 lemon</p> <p>4 ounces whiskey</p> <p>2 teaspoons sugar</p> <p>2 dashes brandy</p> <p>Shake all ingredients together. Strain into glasses or goblets that have been filled with shaved or crushed ice.
