Chyana Marie Sage, As an Indigenous woman and descendant of residential school survivors, intergenerational trauma is a theme that rings true in her life. The ability to talk on her personal experiences of intergenerational trauma, painting a world of raw emotion that pulls you into the quality of her poems, short stories, and soon to be memoir. <br /><br />Chyana graduated from the University of Alberta with a BA in English and Creative Writing, and she is delighted to be pursuing my MFA degree at the University of British Columbia in fall of 2021. <br /><br />Currently, she is working as a research assistant for the University of Alberta Prison Project.
