Episode 24 - Dr. Abbey Fireside Chat

<h1>Eric Abbey is a very talented Detroit based musician, dj, and author. &nbsp;&nbsp;He plays in a number of ska/reggae groups including J. Navvaro and the Traitors, Detroit Riddim Crew, and Killer Diller. &nbsp;&nbsp;Dr. Abbey published a book based on research from his dissertation in May of this year titled - <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Distillation-Sound-Dub-Creation-Culture/dp/1789385393"><em>Distillation of Sound: Dub and the Creation of Culture</em></a>. &nbsp;&nbsp;During this interview we chat about the creation of the book, music, &nbsp;his appreciation of Jamaican music, and what led him to studying Jamaican music/culture. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;This interview was recorded at the beginning of June weeks after his book was published and was delayed due to random ska dad stuff. &nbsp;Enjoy!</h1>
