<p>This weekend, we were reminded of the importance of getting back to basics (à la Atlético Madrid). This weekend's game of the week in England was the definition of a chess match, with two new managers in Ten Hag and Potter piecing together a fascinating tactical performance. Rheon also explains how on Earth the Miguel Almiron story has led to Almiron's best season in top flight football while Jesse Marsch is hanging on by a thread at Leeds. Over in La Liga, Real Madrid completed their bi-annual win against Sevilla, but it wasn't as comfortable as it looked on paper. Lastly, we had to talk about Fede Valverde and some of the <em>insane</em> refereeing decisions in Spain.</p>
