<p>Rangipare Belshaw-Ngaropo is of Ngaati Awa descent and affiliated to Mataatua, Te Arawa, Tainui, Takitimu and Ngatokimatawhaorua. </p><p>She’s has represented Aotearoa at the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues in New York, United Nations Expert Mechanism on The Right of Indigenous Peoples in Switzerland and attended the World Indigenous Decade of Water Summit with He Kuaka Maarangaranga in Minesota. But most importantly, she’s a maamaa. </p><p>She draws her strength from her whaanau, hapuu iwi, tiipuna and future tamariki.
