<p>This musical guru left this earth on  October 11, 1985 at the age of 67, but he left so many musical memories.  Tex Williams, was known for his Western swing and "talking blues" style; his biggest hit was the song "Smoke! Smoke! Smoke! That Cigarette", which held the number one position on the Billboard charts for sixteen weeks in 1947 and was the No. 5 song on Billboard's Top 100 list in 1947, and was No. 1 on the Country chart that year.</p> <p>Wade "Pappy" Ray, "The Grand Fiddle Master of Country Music" began his professional career at the age of five on Broadway in New York.
