<p> Episode 137: Gabriel Silva, MSW is a social worker in the state of Georgia. Silva works as an Assistant Director of Client Services in an HIV program in Georgia. He also has a private practice working with adults . The host and client originally met at the National Conference on Social Work and HV/AIDS.. At the conference Silva presented at the conference. We discuss his presentation. We discuss the use of language in social work. I.e instead of saying undocumented client, say unauthorized. We also address the issues of social skills he sees with his clients in his private practice. We also discuss the importance of networking in social work and how to apply to speak at national conferences.
