Episode 13: Answering opinion questions at C2 level

<p>This time, I had a student of mine from a C2 Proficiency group answer some questions that would be appropriate for the discussion section of the speaking exam. C1 students would also benefit from listening to her answers, as she uses a wide range of structures and vocabulary. She also used intonation effectively to enhance the message she was trying to convey. The questions were:</p> <ol> <li>Do you have much opportunity to travel? Where would you go if you had the choice?</li> <li>How would you feel about a round-the-world trip?</li> <li>What are your expectations of a job and salary?</li> <li>How important to you is it to do well academically?</li> <li>How do you feel about the idea of becoming an entrepreneur?</li> <li>What would your priorities be if you were bringing up children?</li> </ol> <p>She did amazingly well, and I'm sure you can get a few pointers to improve on your skills.
