Episode 103 // Faith in Pharmacy: How to Make it Central Amongst the Chaos

You’ve heard me talk a lot about pharmacy; you’ve seen me post a lot about fitness; but what you haven’t heard me talk about on the podcast is the crux that allows me to produce content to thrive and do all of the things I do—that is FAITH. I get asked a lot how I am able to travel the world as a professional international speaker, be named the most influential pharmacist in our profession, while working full-time as a community pharmacist, and the answer is simple: I owe everything that I have to Jesus Christ. Having faith at home can be pretty simple—but when you try to focus on faith amongst the chaos in the pharmacy, often times our attention tends to fade away from what’s everlasting and toward the problems right in front of us. That’s why I am thrilled for this week’s podcast episode to be joined by fellow Christian Jennifer Bourgeois, PharmD, who has over 10 years’ experience as a community pharmacist with specialized training in MTM services and diabetes care. Prior to graduating with her doctorate of pharmacy in 2009 from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, she earned a BS in Nutrition & Dietetics at Louisiana Tech University in 2004.
