Episode 100 - Andrea Grujic

Andrea Grujic is a versatile creative who has explored skillsets in many different areas — writing, photography, videography, design, marketing, mixology but most importantly, her focus always remained on storytelling. This native Serbian is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Media Management at The New School in New York City.<br />During her undergraduate studies, she had to pick up a so-called “survival job” as a bartender which quickly pivoted into an unexpected career move. Some of the most humbling and rewarding mentions of her work can be seen in features on major food & beverage platforms such as Time Out, New York Magazine, Liquor.com, and Edible Queens.<br />Post-graduation, she plotted her roots at “The Highwater,” a tropical-inspired bar in Astoria, and experienced endless creative freedom. As a media manager and beverage director she worked closely with the owner on the marketing end of things to establish a brand and make his vision into a reality; from managing social media accounts and generating content, to web design and cocktail creation.<br />In this episode, Andrea talks about growing up in Serbia, developing a skills-based approach to education, and finding happiness in being at peace with oneself.<br />Consider becoming a Listener Supporter.
