<p>In this episode, listeners will learn a few basic Igbo Greetings as well as phrases for their Beginner Igbo Language Survival Kits--- that is phrases that can get the listener to start speaking Igbo in their daily lives as well as beginning to navigate through different real life scenarios using the Igbo language. </p> <p>Greetings Slang: Pinọ pinọ kee way; Udo (meaning Peace) </p> <p>Welcome: • Nnọọ </p> <p>Good morning:</p> <ul> <li>i saala chi? </li> <li>i bọọla chi?</li> <li> ụtụtụ oma (the above two are more authentic Igbo expressions for this) </li> </ul> <p>Goodnight </p> <ul> <li> Ka chi fo </li> <li> Ka chi bọọ </li> </ul> <p>Are you well/in good health? </p> <ul> <li>• Ahụ adikwa gi? (can also be ahu di gi?)(the "kwa adds emphasis) </li> </ul> <p>Yes, I am well/in good health</p> <ul> <li> Ehen, Ahụ dị m </li> </ul> <p>No I am not well/in good health </p> <ul> <li>Mba, Ahụ adighi m</li> </ul> <p> How are you? </p> <ul> <li>Kedu? </li> <li>Kedu ka i mere? </li> <li>Kee ka i mere? </li> <li>Olee otu i di? </li> </ul> <p>(There are many other variations that will be introduced in other episodes but these are four ways for starters) </p> <p>Survival Kit Phrases: </p> <p> I don’t understand : </p> <ul> <li>Aghotaghi m.
