.Episode 006 | Uplifting Lament I took last week off from the podcast to grieve and lament. Even this week, I did not feel comfortable jumping back in with regularly scheduled programming like nothing happened. Everything has happened but the reality is it’s been happening - for far too long. Systemic racism and evils of white supremacy have been at work since the very beginning of this nation. As the Church of Jesus Christ, we are called act and speak and change. And that goes far beyond a retweet or politically correct press release. But first, before anything, we must search our hearts and lament and allow God to do a deep personal work. And it’s not a one time deal. After prayerfully considering what to say this week, before returning to interviews, I decided to share some of the laments I’ve penned over the last few weeks. (I recorded this earlier this week but posted it a little late. I hope you can hear the heart behind it over the neighbor’s dog barking.)
