Ephesians 2:11-22

Main Idea: Through the gospel, Christ reconciles sinners to God and sinners to sinners. I. We were separated and alienated from God. a. Christless b. Stateless and Lawless c. Hopeless and Godless II. We have been brought near and reconciled by Christ. a. He abolished the ceremonial law b. He created a new humanity c. He reconciled this new humanity to God and one another. III. We are now identified as God’s people and place. a. We are citizens of His kingdom. b. We are members of His family. c. We are part of His building. Application: 1. Be committed to the church. 2. Pursue unity in the church. a. Don’t whine about your preferences! b. Quickly pursue personal reconciliation in the family of God. c. Love those that are not like you. 3. Be about the mission of the church.
