<div class="">Black Love is the Whigs second masterpiece in a row and they would never be as dark or foreboding again.  Where <em class="">Gentlemen</em> <span class="">was intimate and desperate,</span> <em class="">Black Love</em> is grand and demanding.  It’s the soundtrack to a Film Noir / Blaxploitation mashup, a world where secrets and betrayal are set to a Wah Wah pedal and there’s no discerning anger, desperation or triumph.
