He won a Tony Award in 2013 for originating the role of “Lola" in Broadway’s</span> <em><span style="font-weight: 400;">Kinky Boots</span></em><span style="font-weight: 400;">, and his electric portrayal of “Pray Tell” in Pose earned him a 2020 Golden Globe nomination and a Critics’ Choice Award nomination. He also recently starred in the eighth season of Ryan Murphy’s acclaimed American Horror Story: Apocalypse as “Behold Chablis.”</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Billy joins us to discuss his career, his experience as a black queer man in entertainment, and his role on the acclaimed series Pose. Co-created by Ryan Murphy, Pose is a drama spotlighting the legends, icons and ferocious house mothers of New York’s underground ball culture, a movement that first gained notice in the late 1980s.
