<p>Let&apos;s talk Bees!  Tyler talks with Matis Stebben, co-founder of <a href='https://beekeepingforveterans.com/'>Beekeeping for Veterans</a> on connecting bees with veterans to heal the wounds of trauma. Matis discusses their wellness program that pairs beekeeping with the practice of mindfulness to create an overall healing on the mind and body.</p><p>Part one is the interactions of beekeeping which help to lower distress and improve mood through the increase in endorphins. Combining the necessity to stay calm and be mindful of one&apos;s movements with the positive rush of adrenaline of being in the midst of thousands of bees, can produce a very unique feeling of euphoria.<br/><br/></p><p>And part two, adding in the practice of mindfulness helps reduce anxiety and teaches to be in the moment, in the present, and not to be thinking about combat engagement [or other stressful or traumatic events].
