EP 57 - Officers Rick and Richard Cook, father and son

<p>It's always fun when I can catch up with someone from my old police department.  Today's guest is no stranger to the show.  Rick Cook was part of my inspiration for starting the podcast and he was my first guest.  But in this episode, he joins his son, Richard Cook, on the show.  Richard is a 3rd generation cop and works the same district that I worked when I was on the force.  </p> <p>The pride that Rick has for his son following in his footsteps in undeniable.  We talk about some surprises for Richard early on in his career and what it means to have a dad that he can lean on when he needs.  Daddy Cook shares some of his most memorable SWAT team mishaps and how things might get real weird when he takes his pants off preparing for one SWAT call.  Little Cook tells how his experience on the battlefield has prepared him for his job as a police officer and how in many ways, being a police officer is more challenging.</p> <p>The fun we had shooting this episode is evident.  Rick even tricks me into sharing some of my funny moments on the job.</p> <p> </p> <p>You can learn more about the 9-1-WHAT?
