EP 417: Diva Diaz - Inside the World of the Non-Linear Thinker

<div data-pm-slice="1 1 []" data-en-clipboard="true">Diva Diaz shares a perspective on neurodiversity when living with autism, OCD, ADD or ADHD. Diva discourages trying to fit into a box or ‘masking’, a common practice where people disguise behaviours and their true self to appear “normal” and feel accepted by society. Diva always knew her brain worked differently; she could never do things in a linear way, and she found tasks that were easy for others extremely difficult. As a child, she’d want to contemplate the universe rather than play, learning to mask behaviours to appear “normal.” Diagnosed with high-functioning autism in adulthood, everything then made sense.
