<p>Throughout Thomas Bryant's time in the Army, he has come to find his resiliency has taken him on a never-ending battle to be the best he can be when facing any new challenge.</p> <p>In 2006, Bryant was wounded in an ambush during his first deployment to Afghanistan with this unit, the 173rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team. He was sent to Germany where he would spend a year in the Warrior Transition Unit. There, it was found he had cancer for the second time, he said.
