Ep. 257 - Ronnie Golden

<p>Ronnie Golden is a musician, composer, and stand up comedian. Ronnie started as a teenage guitarist, opening shows for&nbsp;Tom Jones, Scott Walker and Engelbert Humperdinck. He worked with&nbsp;David Bowie&nbsp;in his Beckenham Arts Lab days then went on to form the cult new wave group, Fabulous Poodles&nbsp;who&nbsp;outsold both The Clash and The Jam in America in the early 80’s. After that he was doing stand-up as a member of the Comic Strip with regulars&nbsp;Rik Mayall, Ben Elton,&nbsp;French and Saunders and Alexei Sayle. He was in the first series of&nbsp;BBC 2’s The Young Ones as Buddy Holly, hanging from the ceiling in his parachute. His voice was&nbsp;regularly heard on&nbsp;Spitting Image as Roger Daltry, Mick Jagger and many more. His comedy double act with his friend Barry Cryer&nbsp;yielded several successful Edinburgh shows and a live cd, Rock ‘N’ Droll.
