Ep. 21 Morning Report

“My heart’s always yours.” It’s Episode 21 and we are too blessed to be stressed! With quarantine still underway, Kiara is making due by recruiting fourth-time guest Natalie via Zoom to discuss Arkells’ fourth studio album, Morning Report (2016). Fittingly, the two compliment this compilation of personal anecdotes by telling some of their own stories, including embarrassing first encounters with "Kellz" band members, a night out for the books, and how they’ve been keeping busy in social isolation (spoiler alert: it involves a lot of Jane Fonda workouts, Animal Crossing, and Netflix). We explore everything we love about this record - and then some: from the band’s electric live shows and “dram-astic” bangers, to their strong political commentaries and proud Canadian roots. And after a few Wild Heart cocktails, we begin to ramble round and round, somehow landing on “Degrassi” Drake, John Mulaney and The Office.
