Spending money and feeling guilty.</p> <p>As we all know, 98% of people do not feel comfortable talking about money. And certainly don’t feel comfortable confronting any of their unhealthy money beliefs</p> <p><strong>Let me quickly tell you -- If you feel guilt when you spend money, know you’re not alone. I used to feel such massive guilt for spending money.</strong></p> <p>Trust me, I know how you feel.</p> <ul> <li>I used to go out to dinner with friends and think to myself: Shit, I wonder how you’re going to be splitting the bill</li> <li>When on a date, I used to think about who would pay when the bill would come, focusing so much on the payment that I wouldn’t enjoy myself on the date...</li> <li>I used to show up to birthday dinners super late (after everyone ate), or show up and say things like “oh I just ate, I’ll just have water!” and then devour the free bread they would give….</li> <li>I used to go shopping and bring all my clothes home, only to feel so guilty that I would return most of them to reduce my credit card bill...</li> </ul> <p><strong>And while I’m not particularly proud of this old Scottie, I feel so much compassion and love for him.
