Ep 2: Understanding the CARES Act + Social Distancing for Finance

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">We understand how difficult this time can be for individuals and small business owners. The uncertainty of the coronavirus and what the ultimate impact on the economy will be has put a huge financial burden on everyone.</span></p> <p class="p1"><span class="s1">The government has responded with the <a href= "https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/senate-bill/3548/text"> <span class="s2">Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act</span></a>, which is a record-setting stimulus package aimed to provide help to everyone. We’ve heard quite a bit about the payments being sent out to individuals, but we want to focus on the impact this will have on small businesses.</span></p> <p class="p1"><span class="s1">So we’ll discuss two of the main provisions that owners should be considering. The first are emergency economic disaster loans and the second is the payroll protection plan. Beyond what we talk about on the show, we’ll also provide you with a six-page document listing all of the important details of the CARES Act. All you need to do to receive it is text CARES to 50597.</span></p> <p class="p1"><span class="s1">Following that conversation, we’re going to take a bit of a lighter approach to a phrase we’re hearing over and over again, and that’s social distancing.
