Description
An Ennis principal is raising concern over a lack of support leading to administrative burnout. The National Association of Principals and Deputies annual conference is taking place in Galway this week, with the issue of the administrative burden a main topic of discussion. A survey conducted by the NAPD found that almost three quarters of principals say they spend too much time on managerial duties such as finance, procurement, HR, health and safety, facilities management and other tasks. Fr Ignatius McCormack of St Flannan's Secondary School claims principals don't have the time to focus on directing education.
