Enjoy Cooler WX Today Dry Heat Returns Sat-Tue; Hit & Miss Rains Having No Effect on Worsening Drought Conditions; Rain Chance Next Wed/Thu

<p>Today the frontal boundary that brought showers and storms to the area yesterday lingers around with some clouds, cooler temperatures in the 80’s and some chances for scattered showers late this afternoon and evening.  Over the last week, there were scattered areas of rain and some heavy rain with only very localized improvements to intensifying drought conditions as most areas saw little to no rainfall.  Tomorrow the ridge amplifies to our west again bringing in drier and warmer 90-degree air with it.  Sunday a trough starts to move into the northwest US and pushes the upper-level ridge sitting over the Rockies south and east directly the area sending daytime temperatures back into mid-90’s to start the work week and continuing the dryness the area has seen since early June.</p>
