<p>Meet Elizabeth Beck: &nbsp;Army vet, lawyer, and single mom who stepped into the arena in the 2020 cycle to run for seat in the Texas State House. &nbsp;She ran a powerful and hard-hitting campaign, but ended up losing in what was a tough election cycle for many downballot democrats. &nbsp;Just a few months later, though, she is back in the arena running for a seat on the Fort Worth city council. &nbsp;In this episode, Elizabeth discusses her difficult childhood, what she learned from her eight years in the military, and how she made the decision to run negative ads against her opponent. &nbsp;Since this episode will be airing during Woman's History Month, she also talks about what it was like to be a woman in the army and a female candidate, and what she hopes our nation is reflecting on during Women's History Month this year. &nbsp;</p>
