Elif (https://soundcloud.com/elifmusique) United We Rise Podcast Nr. 063 🗯🗯 How Did Corona change your artist life? 🗯🗯 From going to the airport and being in a different city every weekend to spending too much time at home:) I could get some rest after years and years of endless traveling (I had another crazy traveling job before Djing so I never spent this much time at home in my entire life) and build some healthy routines but also it has been very difficult to keep the motivation at times. In my case I could spend a lot of time in my studio and catch up on some knowledge as a fresh producer. I released my first EP and some remixes and colabs on compilations. Also I’ve been doing a lot of live streams since almost a year now. I started playing music online from my living room in March and played almost every week on different platforms for different labels and communities until Turkey’s lockdown eased down a bit in June. I kept on playing less frequently through the summer while I could play small socially distanced gigs in Turkey - unfortunately I could not travel to Europe even though I had some requests for small parties. When the second wave hit the world I started my weekly residency on Twitch for Abracadabra TV. Live streaming every Sunday for 2 hours, different music every week is very challenging but also very rewarding. I love live streams and I owe them my sanity and my motivation to keep going as an artist. I reach a lot of people and we even have our insider jokes :) 🗯🗯 Where did you record the mix and how did you feel? 🗯🗯 I recorded it at home on my couch next to the window with headphones and traktor controller. It was cosy :) 🗯🗯 What are your wishes for the time after Corona? 🗯🗯 Can not wait to give hugs to people without thinking about it and seeing the smile on strangers faces. I missed touring and being with people and sharing music with people in the same space, not reading but actually seeing their reactions to my music. I hope those days are close!
