<p>Three suspects, Buhari Ibrahim, 18; Muniru Yahaya, 20; and Rufai Isiaka, 20, were on Monday arraigned by the Ekiti State Police Command before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrate Court.</p>, <p>The suspects were accused of stealing a pumping machine.</p>, <p>The suspects were said to have committed the offence on July 18 at about 11:40 a.m at Tinuola Area in Ado-Ekiti.</p>, <p>The police prosecutor, Insp Caleb Leramo, told the court that the accused stole the pumping machine, valued at N40,000 belonging to one Oso Modupe.</p>, <p>He said the offence contravened Section 302 of the Criminal Laws of Ekiti State, 2021.</p>, <p>The prosecutor asked the court for an adjournment to enable him study the case file and assemble his witnesses.</p>, <p>The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against them.</p>, <p>Counsel to the defendants, Mr Sunday Balogun, urged the court to grant the defendants bail, with a promise that they would not jump bail.</p>, <p>The Chief Magistrate, Mr Saka Afunso, granted bail to the defendants in the sum of N20,000 with one surety each in like sum.</p>, <p>He adjourned the case till August 28 for hearing.</p>
