Description

An East Clare member the Irish Blood Transfusion Service is warning that hospital services will be impacted if its blood supply is not quickly replenished. The service has issued a pre-amber alert due to alarmingly lock blood stock levels, with just 2.2 days worth of O negative, 3.1 days of A negative and 2.6 days of B negative remaining. The IBTS hosts a local clinic in Clare every 90 days, with the next one in Kilrush Community School on the 27th of November. Broadford native and IBTS Recruitment Executive Alex O'Connor is encouraging people to attend the clinic and donate blood for the benefit of the health service.
