E7 - New Spring Recap: Chapters 7 thru 10: Siuan and Moiraine - Bestie Goals and Testing for the Shawl

<p><strong>We were maybe a little extra chatty this past episode, when you’re on a roll and talking about something you love...well, time flies! &nbsp;We hope you enjoy this extra long episode. &nbsp;We were feeling ambitious and possibly took on a bit too much but we are finding our stride and encourage you to take breaks as you need them while listening. &nbsp;We do have this split into a beginning portion that is spoiler free and we will announce when the spoiler section is about to begin.</strong></p> <p><strong>Before we launched into our recap this week we wanted to give some of our time to discuss the recent anniversary of Robert Jordan’s death and the impact he’s had on millions of lives. &nbsp;A big thank you to Lauren at </strong><a href="https://www.youtube.com/c/unravelingthepattern"><u><strong>Unraveling the Pattern</strong></u></a><strong> on YouTube for letting us use a sound clip from one of his </strong><a href="https://youtu.be/0gYnAdKvQ1s"><u><strong>amazing videos</strong></u></a><strong> to really concisely sum up the truly epic series that has become Jordan’s legacy.</strong></p> <p><strong>Chapters 7 &amp; 8 lead us through more of Siuan’s and Moiraine’s path to earning the much coveted shawl of an Aes Sedai and chapters 9 &amp; 10 have us going through the test to become an Aes Sedai for the first time in the series. &nbsp;It’s both terrifying and delightful.</strong></p> <p><strong>We wrap up this episode with some of our own theories as to why things are happening the way they are and where some of these things lead us to later in the series. &nbsp;If you haven’t read the full series, this is where we should really part ways. &nbsp;We wouldn’t want to ruin anything for you!</strong></p> <p><strong>This episode was recorded a week ahead of schedule so there is a correction to be made. &nbsp;Traci’s Twitter handle has been changed to @MistressLaras and she’s happily chatting about books and food, among other things, with some truly amazing people. &nbsp;WoT community, you’re the best!</str
