His second band was <a href='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treepeople'>Treepeople</a>, with whom he released three albums and two EPs. He has been the lead singer and guitarist of <a href='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Built_to_Spill'>Built to Spill</a> since 1992</p> <p>The band signed to Sub Pop in October 2021. On September 9, 2022, the band released their first album of new material since 2015, When the Wind Forgets Your Name.</p>
