We think we have a choice whether or not we are going to be holy today or we are NOT going to be holy today! Wellllll, we better all wake up! Not only is holiness commanded of us, but without it, no man, no woman will see the Lord! Let me help us out: We are NOT supposed to be sinning as born-again children of the Living God! Irregardless of the fact that we still live in these flesh bodies that has the potential to sin! The Lord Jesus would never tell us to do something ("Go, and sin no more." John 8:11) if it weren't possible to do it in His Name, by His strength. He would never tell us to do something if it wasn't in our born-again, blood-bought devotion, & allegiance to Him to get it done! He sent us help to be trained in righteousness when He sent us His Holy Spirit! So we are without excuse! Lord Jesus informs us (His true sheep who listen, follows, and obeys Him) in John 8:12: “I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” He also tells us in verse 31, “If you abide in My word [continually obeying My teachings and living in accordance with them, then] you are truly My disciples. 32 And you will know the truth [regarding salvation], and the truth will set you free [from the penalty of sin].” Amen! Listen beloved, you got to be serious about your own salvation. The Lord has told us we must work it out with fear and trembling. Has not Romans 6:11 told us "to consider ourselves, dead to sin and our relationship to it broken?" We are alive to God [in unbroken fellowship with Him] in Christ Jesus. We must be studying!
