DISEASE VERSUS A FUNCTIONAL HEALTH ISSUE???

Diseases are usually easy to identify, and sometimes easy to treat. Some health concerns however have multiple factors affecting them, and some are "pre-pathological" meaning more preventable. What does all this mean and how can it help my health to understand this?
