<p>In February, Alexandre Arnault — the son of Bernard Arnault, who is worth $170 billion — bid on NFTs known as HypeBears, which are cute, colorful digital bears that stand upright and are adorned with distinct apparel accessories. The bidding had occurred during what is called the “pre-reveal,” when no one is supposed to know what individual bears look like, or which have the rarest traits. When the identities and details of each of the 10,000 bears were revealed two days later, the younger Arnault had miraculously bid on five and gotten three of the ten rarest.</p>
