Description

Our emotional intelligence and maturity are constantly being tested. Developing a growth mindset around your ability to redirect your life toward the path you desire for yourself is paramount in your success in addiction recovery. In this episode, we will discuss how saying, "I am an addict," will further cement that thinking into your psyche, into your unconscious mind.

You know how hard it is to start the journey of sobriety and recovery, or is it? Is the difficulty of it merely a mindset perspective we can change so the early stages of sobriety are easier?

What happens we tell ourselves we are an addict over and over again? What happens when we attach our identity to being an addict, to being sad, to being depressed?

Lastly, we will open the discussion up about suicidal thoughts and how they are directly tied to our thoughts about ourselves and the thoughts we have about what other people say to us and about us, how they treat us - and how we internalize those actions into or psyche.

I am not a licensed therapist, shrink, psychiatrist, or medical professional. Let me be clear, I am not a doctor. If you have severe suicidal thoughts and depression then please, please, please, seek professional medical assistance.

I am a certified NLP master practitioner, life coach, and, most importantly, someone in addiction recovery. I am going to discuss today the way I see things, the way my thinking has helped me - the foundation for how my mindset has pushed me toward a level of growth previously believed by myself to be unattainable.

If you know you need something more than I am able to offer please contact the National Suicide Hotline: 1-800-273-TALK (8255.) They have the expertise to help you right now!

Most importantly, it is crucial you realize there are people out here ready to help you through whatever it is your going through, no matter what you need.

I am a piece of your addiction recovery puzzle - I am not the entirety of the solution.</
