Demystifying Misinformation, Stigmatization and Fear about COVID19 Pandemic.

<p>Misinformation is false or inaccurate information that is communicated regardless of an intention to deceive. Examples of misinformation are false rumors, insults, and pranks.</p> <p>Stigmatization is when someone views you in a negative way because you have a distinguishing characteristic or personal trait that's thought to be, or actually is, a disadvantage (a negative stereotype).&nbsp;</p> <p>Discrimination is not justified and has negative consequences for stigmatized people. We cannot allow COVID-19 to serve as a vehicle for racism. Instead, we can focus our energy on solutions and positive thoughts to combat infection and disinformation.
