Yorkie begin his music career as a member of post-punk band The Dance Party alongside <a href='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Head_(musician)'>Michael Head</a>, who would later go on to form <a href='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pale_Fountains'>The Pale Fountains</a> and <a href='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shack_(band)'>Shack</a>. Yorkie would go on to form his own band The Balcony.</p>
