Darkness Descends On Kilkee Following Tragic Accident At The Cliffs

It's claimed a darnkess has descended on the community of Kilkee, after a man lost his life in a tragic accident at the clffs. Emergency services were alerted shortly after three o'clock yesterday afternoon, after the man in his fifties, who it's understood was fishing at the time, fell into the sea at Dunlicky. A second person, who tried to help him became stranded, but was later airlifted to safety. The victim has been named locally as traditional musician Darren Richmond, who's a native of Lancaster, England, but has been living in Ennis for a number of years. Local Councillor Cillian Murphy has been telling Clare FM's Fiona Cahill that Kilkee and the Loop Head peninsula is a sombre place following the incident.
