“I unsubscribed due to how many emails they sent” [I’ve heard this a lot]

We're on a mission to help one million people RISE by 2030 - join the movement at www.myrise.co.uk

I mentioned yesterday that I sometimes have a look at the comments on people’s page check ins when they’ve been for a session.

I got another comment on the same one that I mentioned yesterday that I’ve seen many times over the years.

And have had as replies to emails.

And as the ‘reason’ people can give when unsubscribing from these emails.

It said (as the title of this blog suggests) “I unsubscribed due to how many emails they sent”.

And I get it.

Whilst we make it clear at point of opt in that we also send our daily blog, it’s easy to miss that.

People aren’t always expecting it.

Or they are and they still find it “too much”.

And that’s fine.

From our experience, someone who doesn’t feel they can spare a couple of minutes a day to read something that will help them, probably won’t feel they can justify longer to do a workout.

Or to make some changes to their eating.

Not always, sure.

But usually.

Or they just don’t like my ‘style’.

Also fine.

If they don’t like what I write, they probably won’t like what I have to say either.

If you don’t like these blogs and / or find them useful, that’s cool.

There’s an unsubscribe at the bottom of every one.

If you do get something from them……

If it helps, but by bit, to challenge and change your mindsets, habits, etc……..

If you find little tweaks that you maintain better than wholesale changes you give up on after a few weeks……….

Then we’ll keep sending them 🙂

I’m approaching 2,300 days in row.

Hundreds find them useful.

Just because others don’t isn’t a reason not to do them.

And it’s the same with what you do.
