<p>How do you build a jigsaw? [Corners first?]</p> <p><br> <br> We're on a mission to help one million people RISE by 2030 - join the movement at <a href="http://www.myrise.co.uk/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.myrise.co.uk</a></p> <p><br></p> <p>During the first lockdown the family and I did several jigsaws.</p> <p>We did one 999 piece one.</p> <p>You guessed it – it was supposed to be 1,000 but we found there was one missing right at the end 🙁</p> <p>We still do them fairly regularly with the youngest.</p> <p>How do you do a jigsaw?</p> <p>If you start with the four corners, fill in the sides then work inwards, then that’s the most common approach.</p> <p>It gives us a structure to work from.</p> <p>We may not complete all of the outside before adding other bits, but we’ll probably have something there to base the rest off.</p> <p>And it can be the same with any goals.</p> <p>Out health and fitness type ones especially.</p> <p>We could start with the basic ‘corners’ of;</p> <p>– Eating in calorie deficit / maintenance</p> <p>– Getting some sort of exercise in each week</p> <p>– Getting ‘enough’ sleep</p> <p>– Stress management</p> <p>Not “the whole picture” of course.</p> <p>But something to start with.</p> <p>We may start to add the sides and work inwards with ways to do these things.</p> <p>Maybe filling in more in one corner than another.</p> <p>But not forgetting these are the things we are looking to do.</p> <p>There’s more to an optimally healthy lifestyle than just these, of course.</p> <p>That’s the completed jigsaw.</p> <p>And we may never ‘finish it’ .</p> <p>But we’ll get considerably closer my starting with the corners and sides and working in……..</p> <p>Than if we start with all the fancier stuff that could go in the middle.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Much love,</p> <p>Jon ‘My wife says she wouldn’t be able to leave an incomplete jigsaw on the table for a year for a million pounds.
