<p>Antidote not vaccine [Have you had yours?]</p> <p><br></p> <p>We're on a mission to help one million people RISE by 2030 - join the movement at <a href="http://www.myrise.co.uk/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.myrise.co.uk</a></p> <p><br></p> <p>I had my first COVID vaccination the other day.</p> <p>——- I’ll be honest, I’ve started writing this before I’ve even booked it, but I know us 41 year olds are any day now. I will update how I felt afterwards ——-</p> <p>My arm felt a little sore but I was generally good.</p> <p>I̶ ̶f̶e̶l̶t̶ ̶a̶ ̶b̶i̶t̶ ̶r̶o̶u̶g̶h̶.̶</p> <p>I̶ ̶f̶e̶l̶t̶ ̶a̶w̶f̶u̶l̶.̶</p> <p>A vaccine is, of course, designed to give the recipient “active acquired immunity to a particular infectious disease”.</p> <p>We take it once (twice, three times a lady) and, hopefully, are protected for a period of time.</p> <p>Immune.</p> <p>Whilst it would be nice if we could do that with our health and fitness, we can’t I’m afraid.</p> <p>You can’t come and see us once and that be it for a year or ten.</p> <p>We’re more like the antidote.</p> <p>“a medicine taken or given to counteract a particular poison.”</p> <p>Or;</p> <p>“something that counteracts an unpleasant feeling or situation”.</p> <p>We can regularly counteract the ‘less good’ parts of your life.</p> <p>Exercise as an antidote to aging and sedentary lifestyles.</p> <p>Relentless positivity as an antidote to the negativity you’ll receive from some combination of the people in your life, the news and social media.</p> <p>A peer group of of people who are making good food and lifestyle choices and making forward progress as an antidote to your other peer groups who, perhaps, aren’t.</p> <p>But, we can’t ‘protect’ you forever.</p> <p>You need to keep ‘taking’ this.</p> <p>But, it’s more than worth it 🙂</p> <p><br></p> <p>Much love,</p> <p>Jon ‘Relentless’ Hall</p>
