Cutting Corners - Gleaning - Audio

This is the third part of the Tater Field Series. The first part was “Plant where God places you”, the second one was, “You Dig Potatoes”. This one is “Cutting Corners”. This series is inspired by my brother, Frank and I, being in and around our brother-in-law’s potato fields. It is about planting, harvesting and gleaning. So the ideas come from a potato field but the ideas are universal and heavily biblical. Just good, down to earth things you can use in your life. This week the message focuses on gleaning. Ruth and Naomi, her mother in law, were coming back to Bethlehem (the house of bread) at the harvest time. They both came back with no husbands and destitute. They had to resort to gleaning or picking up the left over grain from the fields. But in the field while gleaning, Ruth met a rich man named Boaz. It was the spot they met where gleaning met redeeming. Boaz later redeemed Naomi and Ruth and they stepped into God’s blessings at harvest time. God wants you redeemed and blessed. This will give you some pointers on having both in your life.
