<p>We just finished a garage sale where we sold everything we had in our storage unit. These were stuff from one of the bakery locations where I was kicked out of the lease. So I sold out all the equipment and other things from the house in the storage unit, which I was paying $830 a month. This stuff was there for two and a half years. The money I spent on the storage fees was way more than the value of the items stored there.</p><p>Getting rid of clutter and baggage makes you feel liberated. Holding on to something for many years with the hope of using it in the future is a poverty or scarcity mindset. Overcoming this mindset is key to letting go and giving room for new experiences. Baggage affects us mentally and prevents us from experiencing new things.</p><p>Holding on to something impedes your ability to have an abundant lifestyle to build a vision and a future for yourself. Thinking about the future rather than holding on to stuff from the past that currently doesn't have any value cultivates an abundant mindset.</p><p>Clearing stuff is not just physical stuff. It includes social circles, friends, relationships that are not working anymore.
