Cultivating Conviction _Pt 9

<p>DVD with Niyi Adekunle.</p> <p>Tuesday 29th September,2020.</p> <p>Hello and a lovely Tuesday morning to you in the name of Jesus.</p> <p>We are still learning how to cultivate our conviction.</p> <p>Pro 13:20 ( NKJV)</p> <p>20. He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed.</p> <p>What is the Bible saying to us here? Very simple, we are conditioned by our company. The company you keep will never leave you the same. So, you want to be wise, walk with the wise. If you don't walk with the wise, you end up with lots of those who are not wise. So, it is important we learn to keep company with the wise. Yes! God should be our company. God is a spirit but even God who is a spirit wants us to cultivate the company of Godly people. Why? When we keep company with Godly people. People of Faith, conviction it had a way of rubbing on us and building our own conviction too.</p> <p>Again, if we go back to the story of Moses in Exo 4:14 when Moses was struggling with what he had to do to go back to Egypt. God said to him " Your brother Aaron is on the way". I have spoken to him and he is coming to see you and he is happy that he is going to see you. The moment Moses heard that his brother Aaron was coming to see him. It made it easy for Moses to make his move too. Why? There was somebody he could relate with. He knew his brother Aaron; he knew that if Aaron could walk with God and listen to God and move. He could do the same thing.</p> <p>Also, we know the story of Mary. When God sent His Angel – Gabriel, and he told her those things that looked impossible. He said, "Your aunt Elizabeth is six months pregnant". This is the woman who they said was barren and the moment the angel said that Mary was able to relate. Once Angel Gabriel left and Mary moved out and went to see her aunt Elizabeth and she stayed with her why? In the company of Elizabeth, Mary was able to cultivate her conviction to the point where she could deliver the baby Jesus herself.</p> <p>It is important we stay around p
