Cunningham's FRIDAY THE 13TH, a film that was created to capitalize on the success of John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN, but ended up inspiring a slew of imitators itself.</p> <p>One of the films that FRIDAY THE 13TH inspired came well after the 80s slasher boom and even well after the slasher revival of the late 90s had died out.
