<p>Last week crypto asset based payments were high on our mind with the acquisition of Simplex by Nuvei (our AP M&amp;A Alert here). We expressed some reservations as to whether crypto and consumer payments are ready for each other. However, let’s talk fees. PayPal claims either “low” or no transaction fees to use crypto. However, the reality is quite different.</p>
