Description
A Fiann Fáíl Councillor claims the re-establishment of the Crusheen Railway station is essential to facilitate the growing demand for public transport in the county. A delegation of elected representatives from the East Clare Municipal District met with senior members of Ianróid Eireann this week with a view to resuming operations at the site. Despite been granted planning permission for the construction of a new station at Crusheen as part of the western rail corridor in 2011, Irish Rail are yet to bring the development to fruition. Maghera based Councillor, Pat Hayes believes the station will enhance access to key services across Clare & beyond.
