The Eastern Cape is arguably one of the most beautiful provinces in South Africa. Amongst the rolling plains, rivers, valleys and farms there lies a small, rural village- Toleni which between the years of 2008 and 2013 became known as the Village of Death.   9 years on, the fabric of society is still stained with the shocking acts that took place with deserted houses scattered amongst brightly painted ones. The abandoned and dilapidated homes are a reminder of the victims encountered on one man’s trail of destruction. A man who was dubbed South Africa’s worst serial killer in 15 years.
