This is Vaccine 411, the latest coronavirus vaccine information for July 6th, 2021.

A very politically charged decision in Britain, which plans to get rid of laws requiring face masks and social distancing later this month despite surging delta variant numbers. The Prime Minister has even admitted doing so will likely drive the number of cases higher. While he stressed the pandemic is far from over, he said Britain would have to “learn to live with this virus.”

Super spreader events are still a thing, especially where young people are involved. This trick is largely being taught via TikTok.

Another poll is suggesting that when it comes to trying to scare Americans about the delta variant, they aren’t buying it. The ABC News/Washington Post poll says 30% of adults haven’t gotten a vaccine and likely aren’t going to. Of this group, 73% think health officials are exaggerating the risk of the delta variant and 79% think they have little or no risk of getting sick.

In the United States cases were up 5%, deaths are down 38%, and hospitalizations are down 17% over 14 days.
